The Antennagate situation continues to haunt Apple, as the results of the class-action lawsuit against the company are out and are not in the company's favor. Apple will now be required to give either $15 in cash or a free Bumper case to every iPhone 4 customers in the US.

People in the US who have bought the iPhone 4 will have to visit the website www.iPhone4Settlement.com (which isn't working yet), where they will get more information on how they can claim their money or the free case. Apple will also be required to send a reminder email to its iPhone 4 customers before April 30.
As you may be aware, the whole Antennagate situation started with the launch of the iPhone 4 in 2010, where certain users noticed that covering the strip around the side of the phone during a call would result in drop in signal and eventually disconnection of the call. Apple eventually responded with a media event, where they offered to give free Bumper cases to iPhone 4 buyers but only till September 30, 2010. Following this, multiple lawsuits were filed against Apple regarding this situation, the result of which we are now seeing.
Thankfully for the users (and Apple), the iPhone 4S does not have any problem due to a reworked antenna system.

A few days ago, Apple officially said goodbye to the 13-inch white MacBook, which was so far available exclusively for educational institutions since it was discontinued for the general public last July. Now, they have announced a new cut-price version of the 13-inch MacBook Air, which will be sold for $999.

For that price you will get the hardware from the entry-level 11-inch model (which also costs $999), that is a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory (SSD). You will, however, get the same 13.3-inch, 1,440 x 900 resolution display from the standard 13-inch model.
Like the white MacBook it replaces, the new $999 MacBook Air will be exclusively available for educational institutions and will have to be purchased in bulk quantities. Apple is offering a pack of five of these MacBook Airs for $4,995. Too bad this machine won’t be sold separately to regular buyers. Though 64GBs are less than the minimum a personal laptop should have, I think.

Apple has been forced to remove some of its 3G products from the German online stores. This includes the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4 and the 3G version of the iPad 2.

FOSS Patent's Florian Mueller says this is due to the injunction won in Manheimm by Motorola against Apple related to the FRAND patent. Coincidentally, Motorola won another permanent injunction against Apple related to iCloud in Germany on the same day but that is a completely different case and not related to these products being pulled from the stores.
The products are only being pulled from Apple's online store in Germany and the brick and mortar stores will still have them in stock. This is because Motorola only sued the German subsidiary of Apple, which is only in charge of handling the online side of the sales.
Apple, meanwhile can still challenge this decision and get it suspended so that it can appeal in a higher court.
Update: Apple has won a temporary suspension, which means it can go back to selling the previously pulled products on its online store for now. We are not sure what their next step will be but will keep you informed.
